Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the set up and operation of audio and video equipment including but not limited to microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, and related equipment for concerts, presentations, promotions, and any other property events.
- Responsible for daily technical operations and first line maintenance for live, audio and video entertainment.
- Assists Food & Beverage team with sound and lighting as needed during live banquets.
- Adheres to scheduling and coordinates with manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
- Responsible for accurate completion of production set up checklists. Reports issues to leadership.
- Responsible for the setup, operation, adjustments, service and repair of AV electronic equipment. Reports issues to leadership.
- Performs preventative maintenance on audio visual equipment according to established guidelines.
- Assists with ensuring digital displays and television on property are on and properly displaying content.
- Regulate fidelity, brightness, contrast, volume, and sound quality throughout the AV system.
- Administer control panels to operate and distribute multiple audio and video sources including but not limited to, horse racing, background music, HD video servers, sporting events and other casino and/or pari‑mutuel related feeds.
- Follows all company, safety, and security procedures. Reports any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries to Manager.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
- Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Qualification Requirements
- Associate’s degree (A.A) from an accredited college or university; one to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Must be able to work high volume days, nights, holidays, and weekends, as needed.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Language Skills
Must have good written and oral communication and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Employee must qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations. Must possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
Physical Demands
Employee regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear. Must lift up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 35 pounds often, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Must push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
Work Environment
Noise level usually moderate to loud. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, electrical shock. Possible exposure to secondhand tobacco smoke.
