Job SummaryThe part-time Technical Production Technician is responsible for setting up, installing, operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and video equipment on location for events and functions including concerts, sports, events, watch parties, meetings, and conventions, presentations, and news conferences. This position requires part-time availability that may include nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet up and install equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, pulling and connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards for events and functions such as concerts, sports events, meetings and conventions, presentations, and news conferencesSet up and operate basic sound equipment for eventsConfer with meeting/concert director or event team to establish cues and directionsEnsure equipment is installed according to the designated layoutTest and resolve basic equipment issuesMix sound inputs and feeds and monitor sound feeds to ensure qualityClean audio and other equipment and ensure its proper storageEnsure the safe transfer and shipment of equipmentEnsure the safe storage and integrity of dataMaintain inventory of equipment and report equipment that require repairsProvide all end-users and guests a positive first impression by offering World Class ServiceAny additional tasks deemed necessary for proper performance of AV department responsibilitiesQualificationsMust be 18 years old with high school diploma or GED requiredMust successfully complete pre-employment background check screening1-3 years of related AV experience requiredMotivated and positive, high-energy attitudeAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work both independently and in team environmentsDetail oriented with excellent organizational skillsCreative and proactive problem solverExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong work ethic and punctualityEndurance to stand for long periods of timeWorking ConditionMust be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs.Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in the English languageAbility to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or peopleAbility to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.Ability to work in loud environmentsAbility to lift and carry up to 50lbsMust be able to walk up to 0.5 miles to and from designated employee parking areas, including in varying earther conditions and during high-traffic event timesMust have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidaysMust be able to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperaturesWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
