Job summary

Equifax is seeking a Technical Product Owner to bridge customer needs with technology, grooming the backlog and understanding technical story requirements to optimize the user experience.

You will collaborate with product management, engineering, QA, and architecture teams to decompose requirements, plan roadmaps, and drive MVPs while managing dependencies and prioritization across quarterly increments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5-7 years of product owner experience in a cloud-based and/or SaaS environment.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Lean product management.
• Experience with data structures, data analytics and AI concepts preferred.
• Experience working with cross functional teams.
• Exposure to capacity planning and budgeting for product initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Bridges customer needs with technology, removing barriers to software development.
• Grooms the backlog and creates discrete increments aligned to customer needs.
• Contributes to plan and roadmaps, MVP definition, and dependency management with engineering and architecture teams.
• Ensures acceptance criteria are met; defines testing scope with QE and engineering; leads demos.
• Captures feedback from demos, supports delivery retrospectives, and proposes backlog improvements.
