Job summary

DEXIS, a leader in dental imaging equipment, is seeking a Technical Product Owner to own backlogs for the DEXIS 2D imaging and IoT platform across cloud, device, and edge products.

You will translate strategic direction into clear requirements and user stories, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable high-quality, predictable delivery. This role emphasizes customer-centric prioritization and strong technical understanding without hands-on coding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years total product experience.
• 2-4+ years in platform, API, or developer-facing products.
• Demonstrable experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in a software or SaaS environment.
• Ability to understand and discuss software architecture, cloud platforms, APIs, integrations, security, scalability, and implementation tradeoffs with engineering teams.
• Experience with Agile teams and product backlogs in Jira or similar tools, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Strong experience defining KPIs, writing user stories, and creating acceptance criteria and functional requirements.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to balance customer needs, business priorities, and technical considerations.
• Experience working across Engineering, UX, Quality, Clinical Affairs, Project Management, and customer-facing functions.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain multiple product backlogs with clearly defined epics and user stories.
• Serve as primary contact for development teams on requirements, priorities, and scope decisions.
• Lead backlog refinement and sprint planning, applying Scrum and scaled Agile practices.
• Balance business value, technical needs, and delivery timelines with Engineering leadership.
• Represent the voice of the customer throughout the development lifecycle.
• Define acceptance criteria for new features and enhancements.
• Support release planning, readiness reviews, and launch communications.
• Monitor product performance and adoption to identify improvement opportunities.
