At Baseten, a company enabling AI companies to deploy advanced models through a unified platform, the Technical Product Marketing Manager role is integral to communicating complex AI infrastructure products. This position involves working across multiple product lines including inference, Model APIs, and training platforms, collaborating closely with product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to craft clear, credible messaging that resonates with ML engineers and technical buyers. The role is based in either San Francisco or New York with a hybrid work arrangement.
Day-to-day responsibilities include owning product positioning and messaging, ensuring technical accuracy by partnering with engineering, and maintaining consistency across Baseten's platform narrative. The manager will lead product launches, create marketing assets such as technical blog posts and sales decks, and support go-to-market strategies. They will also conduct competitive analysis to refine positioning and develop sales enablement tools like battlecards and objection-handling guides, working closely with sales and solutions teams to address enablement gaps.
Candidates should have at least four years in product or technical marketing, with experience marketing to developers or technical buyers in AI, cloud, or infrastructure sectors. Strong writing skills and technical fluency in AI concepts like inference and fine-tuning are essential. Experience with competitive analysis, product launches, and working in fast-paced startup environments is required. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure and marketing to ML engineers or technical executives. The role offers competitive compensation, equity, and comprehensive benefits for U.S. employees.
