Job summary

POLITICO seeks an experienced Technical Product Manager to shape AgencyIQ’s roadmap, deliver AI-enabled tools, and drive growth in subscribers across policy-focused data and software for regulatory professionals. You will work with research, editorial, technology, data, and commercial teams to translate insights into measurable product outcomes.

You’ll partner with engineering on APIs, data flows, security, and deployment, coaching product managers through AI workflows and reusable prototypes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of product management delivering B2B software or data products with measurable impact.
• Hands-on ability to prototype with AI coding tools and collaborate with engineers on APIs and data flows.
• Experience designing usable product workflows from interviews and data; knowledge of metrics and prioritisation.
• Experience working with engineering on requirements, testing, and release processes; security awareness.
• Ability to teach technical practices and communicate decisions clearly to cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Python or JavaScript, SQL, web data collection, cloud environments, CI/CD, API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize a roadmap for AgencyIQ features, balancing value, feasibility, and capacity.
• Interview customers, analyse usage and market trends; convert findings into requirements and KPIs.
• Partner with research, commercial, design, and engineering to improve acquisition, engagement, and retention.
• Design and roll out AI-enabled prototyping workflows for nontechnical PMs and engineers alike.
• Define prototype evaluation, facilitate handoffs, and coach teams to refine templates and workflows.
• Prototype reliable data collection and AI-enabled features with clear quality thresholds.
