Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a Technical Product Manager to own the data engineering family—the data platform, analytics, data science, and AI/agentic workflows built on top. You will align stakeholders, set direction, and ensure engineers stay heads-down on the work that matters.

This hybrid Pioneer/Settler role demands ruthlessly prioritizing work, demos and PoCs, and clear ownership across data streams, sensors, and sources as we scale our data capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years in technical product management, data platform or analytics product roles.
• Comfortable being the only PM in a highly technical room and building credibility.
• Depth in data infrastructure and analytics with credible data engineers and scientists.
• Fluency with the current LLM/foundation-model landscape and agentic approaches.
• Track record of structuring ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives and owning outcomes.
• Hands-on prototyping ability to deliver PoCs with stakeholders.
• Strong prioritization and tradeoff skills with clear decisions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Talk to internal teams constantly to define roadmap and user needs.
• Own roadmap for data platform, analytics, and data science tooling.
• Write product specs, KPIs, and success metrics for scoped work.
• Own prioritization and stakeholder alignment so engineers stay focused.
• Make build-vs-buy calls for BI and analytics tooling.
• Define how agents fit with AI workflows and drive adoption.
• Decide which new data streams to integrate and standards to apply.
• Set expectations for what is supported and what will not be migrated.
