Job summary

Jobtailor in Miami, FL is seeking an aerospace engineer to assist in engine management and maintenance planning within an MRO network. You will support technical inquiries, review shop processes, and ensure compliance with KPI standards while interacting with customers and vendors.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, US work authorization, and experience in aviation engineering or tech roles, with preferred CFM engine maintenance experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Legally authorized to live and work in United States.
  • Experience in the aviation industry in an engineering or technical role.
  • Prior CFM engine maintenance experience with an airline, MRO, leasing company, or OEM strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with technical documentation (contracts, manuals, workscopes, specifications).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment and balance multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to handle complex data.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, and adaptability to new tools.
  • Strong English communication, analytical, and quantitative skills.
  • Willingness to travel to external MROs for engine reviews/inspections.
  • Spanish language helpful based on role location.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in engine management during repair.
  • Validate maintenance planning logic, shop visit triggers, and initial workscope decisions.
  • Assist with work instructions, configuration management, and deviation approvals.
  • Align asset plans with execution realities at the shops.
  • Monitor completion status of engines across the MRO network for planning accuracy.
  • Interact with customers, vendors and management on technical inquiries.
  • Ensure all modules and materials meet KPI standards and quality levels.
  • Perform on-wing troubleshooting to support lessee technical issues.
  • Respond promptly to technical inquiries from customers, shop personnel and management.
  • Travel to external MROs to perform engine reviews and table inspections.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic shop environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with complex details and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, and ability to quickly adapt to new tools
  • Superior analytical, quantitative, and communication skills in English
  • Strong drive and initiative with ability to balance multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to build working relationships with all colleagues
  • Willingness to travel to external MROs to perform engine reviews and table inspections
  • Spanish language is helpful based on the location of the role
