Job summary

Two Six Technologies in Arlington, VA is seeking a Technical Product Engineering Lead to own the end-to-end technical vision for a hardware security product. You will guide architecture across hardware, FPGA, firmware, and software while remaining hands-on.

You’ll mentor engineers, drive secure design, and help transition prototypes to scalable production for national security missions. On-site work in Arlington is required to support hardware efforts.

Qualifications

• Lead engineering work across hardware, FPGA, and software.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE or related field.
• 7+ years with Python, C, C++, Embedded C, or Rust.
• Experience with Embedded Linux and Yocto-based build systems.
• Linux kernel development or drivers experience.
• Collaborate with FPGA and hardware teams.
• CI/CD pipelines and VM test ranges experience.
• Deploy secure systems and understand cryptography basics.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end system architecture and technical roadmap across hardware/FPGA/embedded/software.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact for the product.
• Plan and execute tasks across multiple technical projects.
• Mentor and guide engineering team members.
• Mature R&D into fieldable solutions.
• Develop testing strategies including unit, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
• Minimize maintenance overhead with modular design.
• Engage with transition partners and stakeholders.
