Responsibilities

• Maintain Program and Commercial Log.
• Operate Audio Control Board for Live, Satellite, Paid and Pre-Recorded Programming.
• Work with Show Hosts.
• Record and Edit Audio.
• Upload Audio and Post Information on Websites and Podcasts.
• Transmit and Receive EAS Weekly and EAS Monthly Tests.
• Monitor Broadcast Stations and report emergencies.

Job Summary

WBEN News Radio 930 is seeking a Part‑time, technically‑savvy candidate to oversee all control‑room operations in a multi‑faceted LIVE audio environment. The anticipated starting salary range for New York‑based applicants is $16.00 per hour. Salary will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Program and Commercial Log
• Operate Audio Control Board for Live, Satellite, Paid and Pre‑Recorded Programming

• Monitor Broadcast Stations (6 total) and all building‑related emergencies; notify the Engineer on Call immediately if any problems are detected

Qualifications

• Basic audio board operation skills and digital editing abilities; ability to multi‑task and adapt to change in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with live on‑air talent; problem solving and maintaining operation within mandated FCC guidelines
• Flexible schedule preferred
• Valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of motor vehicle record check, and proof of insurance if own vehicle is required
