Job summary

Business Needs Inc. is seeking a Technical PM to lead project management for complex business and technology initiatives in a health care setting.

This onsite role in Sacramento requires coordinating cross-functional teams, vendors, and leadership while maintaining PM artifacts and status communications. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of PM leadership, strong documentation skills, and experience with Agile or hybrid delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7+ years in project management for complex business or technology initiatives in the past 10 years.
• 7+ years leading cross-functional project teams including business, technical, and vendor stakeholders.
• Experience developing core PM deliverables: charters, work plans, schedules, status reports, risk/issue logs, meeting materials, action trackers.
• Experience monitoring scope, schedule, dependencies, risks, issues, deliverables; escalate as needed.
• Experience facilitating meetings, documenting decisions, tracking follow-ups, communicating status to leadership.
• Experience preparing executive briefings, dashboards, status summaries, decision-support materials.
• Experience in health care environments with structured PM practices; Agile or hybrid delivery.
• Knowledge of Agile principles; coordinate with Scrum Masters, product owners, technical teams, and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments; adapt to changing priorities; maintain quality and timeliness.
• Strong written and verbal communication; professional documentation.
• Ability to deliver services per direction, timelines, approvals, and review processes.
• Ability to lead, influence, and drive decisions without direct authority.

Location: Onsite in Sacramento candidates must be local or open to relocating at the start of the project

Must Haves (no exceptions)

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, information technology, organizational leadership, or a related field. Equivalent additional qualifying experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
• At least seven (7) years of experience within the past ten (10) years providing project management services for complex business or technology initiatives.
• At least seven (7) years of experience within the past ten (10) years leading cross-functional project teams and coordinating activities across business, technical, and vendor stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining core project management deliverables, including project charters, work plans, schedules, status reports, risk and issue logs, meeting materials, and action item trackers.
• Demonstrated experience monitoring project scope, schedule, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables, and escalating concerns in a timely manner.
• Experience facilitating meetings, documenting decisions, tracking follow-up actions, and communicating project status clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
• Experience preparing executive-level briefings, dashboards, status summaries, and decision-support materials.
• Experience working in health care environments that use structured project management practices and, where applicable, Agile or hybrid delivery methods.
• Working knowledge of Agile principles and the ability to coordinate with Scrum Masters, product owners, technical teams, and business stakeholders as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain quality and timeliness of deliverables.
