Job summary

Viant is seeking a Technical Platform Operations Specialist in Irvine, CA to ensure the seamless performance of our DSP and other products. You will bridge Operations, Product, and Engineering with external partners, owning day‑to‑day technical operations, troubleshooting, and campaign support.

The role fits a fast‑paced environment with strong communication, problem solving, and leadership in translating business needs into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of ad operations or related technical account management experience.
• Familiarity with at least one ad-serving or programmatic advertising platform.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to document complex systems.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Working knowledge of HTML/JavaScript.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the connective point between internal teams (Operations, Product, Engineering) and external partners to resolve technical issues and ensure DSP reliability.
• Execute and manage publisher integrations and 3rd‑party partner certifications for compliance and compatibility.
• Provide second‑level QA and platform support, documenting escalated issues with urgency.
• Lead cross‑functional projects to enhance platform stability, workflows, and campaign execution quality.
• Translate technical findings into clear, actionable feedback for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Technical Platform Operations Specialist, you will serve as a key operational liaison, ensuring the seamless performance of Viant’s products, including our Demand Side Platform (DSP). You will play a pivotal role in bridging cross‑functional internal teams—such as Operations, Product, and Engineering—with external stakeholders and third‑party partners. Your core responsibility is to maintain operational continuity through clear communication, technical insight, and a strong sense of urgency when addressing problems, challenges, and opportunities.

This role requires a proactive approach to identifying root causes, facilitating resolutions, and driving alignment across multiple teams. You will own day‑to‑day technical operations, lead troubleshooting efforts, and support campaign and platform stability. The ideal candidate thrives in fast‑paced environments, is a clear communicator, and demonstrates task leadership by translating customer and business needs into actionable solutions.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

• Proven ability to adopt and navigate new technologies quickly
• Working knowledge of HTML/JavaScript
• Bachelor’s degree

Salary

$60,000 - $71,000 a year

In accordance with California law, the range provided is Viant’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role.
