Job summary

CIMCO Refrigeration Inc. is seeking a Service Buyer to source, purchase, and expedite parts across North America. You will work with refrigeration mechanics, engineers, and sales teams, ensuring accurate pricing, lead times, and product information.

The role combines buyer duties with technical support, manages purchase orders, resolves part issues, and maintains strong internal service levels within CIMCO's National Parts Centre.

Qualifications

• Industrial buying experience in a technical or mechanical environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical understanding are highly preferred.
• High accuracy and attention to detail in quoting and order entry.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with mechanics, engineers, vendors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, accurate pricing and delivery quotations via phone, email, fax, or SAP.
• Verify stock levels in SAP and confirm availability with vendors.
• Identify parts, cross-reference components, and locate alternatives when needed.
• Negotiate pricing and maintain vendor relationships across North America.
• Issue POs, expedite shipments, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.
• Troubleshoot part problems and offer alternate solutions to internal customers.
• Collaborate with NPC staff, service teams, and engineering to maintain continuity.
