Job summary

KOLO-TV is seeking experienced Technical Operators/Directors for their Morning Shows in Reno. Shifts include 3 a.m.–1:30 p.m. (10 hours, 4 days) or 3 a.m.–12 p.m. (8 hours, 5 days). You will direct newscasts, manage studio recordings, master control, and support production tasks.

Candidates must have basic live news production knowledge, master control automation, and editing skills. Training is provided; bilingual Spanish is a plus and residence within 30 minutes of the station is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience in television production preferred.
• Willing to reside within 30 minutes of the station.
• Bilingual a plus (Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of newscast technical operation is expected.
• Knowledge of master control operation is recommended.

Job Summary/Description:

KOLO-TV is in need of experienced Technical Operators/Directors for their Morning Shows (3 a.m.- 1:30 pm 10-hour shift, 4 days a week, or 3 a.m.- 12 p.m. 8-hour shift, 5 days a week). The individuals will be responsible for the station's on-air elements, such as directing newscasts, studio recordings, master control, and various production-related tasks. Candidates must have a basic knowledge of live news production, master control automation, and editing. This position may have negotiable hours and days, but a Saturday/Sunday morning shift is a must for this position. Training is provided.
