Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Technical Operations Support Engineer to ensure field service teams have the tools, training, and procedures to perform high-quality work safely and efficiently at job sites.   • Willingness to travel 15% domestically and internationally.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

A Snapshot of Your Day

The Technical Operations Support Engineer will ensure Siemens Energy field service personnel have the tools, training, and procedures when they arrive at a job site to perform a high-quality job both safely and efficiently. This will entail working with the district offices, service engineering, tool depots, and others to identify current and future needs and to develop the tools and processes necessary.


How You’ll Make an Impact


  • Responsible for developing and optimizing processes to improve safety, quality, and schedule of large gas turbine field service events, primarily V fleet (SGT6-2000E & SGT6-4000F).

  • Responsible for developing training criteria for technicians and engineers on specialized tooling and equipment.

  • Responsible for seeking and implementing cost savings projects.

  • Supporting field service organization as technical support or shift field engineer during peak outage season when demands dictate.


What You Bring


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field; 5+ years of field service experience, preferably working with SGT6‑2000E, SGT6‑4000F, SGT6‑8000H, or SGT6‑9000HL gas turbines.

  • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently in addition to working well in groups.

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while prioritizing work for yourself and others, under strict timelines and being flexible to changing needs. Prior experience with Siemens Energy’s customers, equipment, and processes is a plus.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and excellent technical writing skills. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and ability to learn others as needed.

  • Willing to travel 15% domestically and internationally.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
