Qualifications

  • Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and remain in good academic standing.
  • Previous internship, co-op, undergraduate research, or relevant project experience is preferred.
  • Leadership experience through student organizations or community involvement is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with analytical tools such as Minitab, Visio, or Power BI is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support projects focused on improving process efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Assist with project execution using project management and continuous improvement methodologies such as FPX, Lean, and Six Sigma.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and documentation activities related to products, processes, equipment, and raw materials.
  • Maintain technical and operational documentation, including specifications, reports, and project records.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to communicate project progress and results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Assist in developing concepts, designs, and approaches for new products, processes, or testing methods.
  • Support compliance with company policies, environmental, safety, and occupational health requirements.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, opportunities, and business-related issues to leadership when appropriate.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Full time requirement (40 hours per week).
Purpose:

The Co-Op Student will support continuous improvement initiatives and business projects within the assigned department. Working under the guidance of a mentor, this role provides hands-on experience in engineering processes, project management, process optimization, and operational excellence while contributing to projects that improve efficiency, reduce costs, shorten cycle times, and enhance overall quality.

You will be responsible for:
