Job description

Technical Operations Engineer - Connected Warfare

Join to apply for the Technical Operations Engineer - Connected Warfare role at Anduril Industries.

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built, and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

About The Role

Anduril’s Deployment Operations group is seeking a Technical Operations Engineer to join our team. This is a Costa Mesa based role and not eligible for remote/hybrid work.

As a member of Anduril’s Technical Operations team, you will be responsible for deploying and supporting Anduril’s products worldwide. You will work with products early in their lifecycle, collaborating with engineering teams to iteratively improve them. You will need to take ownership of delivering technical solutions amidst numerous challenges.

You must be both a teacher and a learner, able to coach teammates on systems you are familiar with, then master new systems. You will guide users through product deployment and troubleshooting, advise account managers on operational structuring, and communicate product refinement recommendations to engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to gather requirements from end-users, communicate complex subjects clearly, and build trust cross-functionally.
  • Proven ability to master and support technical systems in austere environments, demonstrating self-sufficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills at the hardware, software, and networking interface, with the ability to clarify and resolve vague technical issues.
  • Inquisitiveness and ability to independently research and learn new technical components.
  • Ability to develop operational and logistics plans for moving personnel and equipment over long distances in unfamiliar locations.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret/Top Secret security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, up to two months at a time (up to 80% of the year).
  • Ability to meet health and medical requirements for deployments as per applicable regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Military or overseas contracting experience.
  • Familiarity with Linux OS and command-line data extraction.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with tools and electronics.

US Salary Range
