Job summary

WDRB/WAVE in Louisville, Kentucky, is seeking a Technical Media Producer to join our award-winning news team. This hybrid role combines live newscast directing with automation and master control duties, monitoring broadcast signals, commercials, and FCC compliance.

Ideal candidates will have experience with ENPS, Crispin, and Ross Overdrive, and be flexible to a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime.

Technical Media Producers are a hybrid role combining live newscast directing with automation and traditional master control duties, which include monitoring WAVE & WDRB's broadcast signals, commercial playout, and FCC compliance. We're looking for someone with high energy and a positive attitude who has experience in both directing and operating master control.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for directing live or prerecorded productions using Ross Overdrive
• Monitoring on-air signals, transmitter, and FCC logs
• Ingesting daily programming and commercials
• Monitoring programming playlist automation and any other duties as assigned
