Job summary

WBKO News, part of Gray Media, is seeking a Content Creator/Producer in Bowling Green, KY. The role focuses on gathering field content, writing, editing, and producing newscasts across multiple platforms, with aggressive deadlines and a digital-first mindset.

You will contribute to daily digital and social content, report live from events, and collaborate with teammates to deliver compelling local news coverage from our south-central Kentucky market.

Job Summary/Description

WBKO News is looking for a candidate who loves creating content in the field as well as crafting newscasts. Our multi-platform Content Creator Producer position could be your ideal position.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Gathering content in the field with a right now, digital-first approach
• Daily contributions to digital and social platforms
• Live reporting from breaking news scenes, local events, and community coverage
• Writing, video editing, and producing newscasts
• Work seamlessly as a team and independently as the tasks require

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Degree in broadcast journalism preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible days and hours
• Ability to handle moderate to high stress and deadline pressure
• Strong editorial skills and working knowledge of AP and Broadcast Style are also preferred
• MVR Check
