Job summary
Georgia-Pacific seeks a Technical Manager for its Rome, GA lumber mill. You will lead technical strategy, drive process optimization, and oversee quality systems to maximize safety, quality, and throughput.
Collaborate across Operations, Maintenance, Controls, Engineering, Wood Supply, and Commercial teams to improve profitability. The role focuses on developing sustainable manufacturing processes, leveraging data analysis, and guiding capital improvements to strengthen the mill's long-term
Qualifications
- Experience leading technical or engineering teams in industrial manufacturing.
- Ability to analyze data and drive process improvements.
- Knowledge of quality systems and process control.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the facility's technical leader for manufacturing processes and quality.
- Develop strategies to improve safety, quality, recovery, and throughput.
- Lead capital projects and adoption of new technologies.
- Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
