Job summary

SGS is seeking a Technical Manager – Field Services to lead concrete admixture testing projects in our construction materials laboratory. You will plan, supervise, and report on testing of fresh/hardened concrete properties, ensuring compliance with ASTM/ACI/DOT standards.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in concrete technology, strong project-management skills, and the ability to coordinate with clients and lab staff. Occasional travel is required across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in concrete technology, admixtures, or construction materials testing.
• Strong understanding of concrete mix design, performance requirements, and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with ASTM, ACI, and DOT specifications for concrete materials.
• Experience with ASTM C494 testing and evaluation of admixtures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple concrete admixtures testing projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, and deliverables for efficient execution.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients to meet their specifications.
• Coordinate with laboratory technicians, engineers and quality control personnel.
• Follow lab procedures and test specifications to ensure accuracy.
