Job summary

Republic Elite Holdings, LLC in Mendota, IL is hiring a Technical Machine Specialist 1 to support the Thermal Foil Line. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, PLC and HMI proficiency, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.

You will mentor machine operators, lead safety practices, and collaborate with maintenance to improve equipment performance and process reliability on a full-time, on-site basis.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-direction and initiative.
• Ability to read line diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate as appropriate.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Proficient in PLCs and HMIs.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with team members and maintenance personnel regarding recurring issues and repairs.
• Promote a safe work environment and follow PPE and plant safety practices.
• Troubleshoot and address root causes of quality defects and machine downtime.
• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical systems.
• Provide feedback to Operators, Team Leads, Maintenance, and Supervisors.
• Lead 5S and continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
