Job summary

Jobtailor in California is seeking an experienced engineer to develop test programs for optical transceiver products and to validate production tests. You will drive automation with Python scripting and apply statistical analysis tools to interpret data from characterization, qualification, and production testing.

You will influence NPI and design phases to optimize DFT/DFM, test coverage, and calibration, and you will provide hands-on support for product debugging and failure analysis across

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE or BSEE) with relevant experience.
• Strong Python scripting and test automation background.
• Experience applying AI to test program development and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop test programs for optical transceiver products
• Validate and characterize production tests
• Influence NPI/design phases to optimize DFT/DFM, test coverage, and calibration
• Analyze characterization, qualification, and production data

Requirements

• Minimum MSEE with 6+ years or BSEE with 8+ years of relevant industry experience
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python
• Use of AI in test program development and data analysis
• Proficiency with statistical analysis methods/tools (JMP, Data Conductor, DataPower, Power BI)
• Experience with semiconductor processes and optical components
• Familiarity with QSFP MSA standards
• Experience leading silicon photonic products to high volume production
