Job summary

Nightwing seeks an experienced Technical Lead to drive technical strategy, architecture, and engineering direction for enterprise-grade systems. You will mentor staff, perform code reviews, and ensure quality while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires deep software development knowledge, Kubernetes and AWS expertise, strong leadership, and a TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph. You will collaborate across departments to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 14+ years related experience
• 5+ years supporting the mission
• Bachelor’s degree substituted with 6 years experience
• Master’s degree substitution for experience
• Deep understanding of software development methodologies and tech stack
• Experience integrating and modernizing applications (e.g., strangler fig, API gateways)
• Proficiency in agile framework, processes, and principles
• Proficiency with DevSecOps (CI/CD, TDD, feature flags, canaries)
• Proficiency with microservices and cloud architectures (Kubernetes, AWS)
• Experience in the Intelligence Customer space
• Current TS/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making abilities
• Experience with project management, risk analysis, and technical architecture
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and set the technical vision for projects.
• Oversee project plans, schedules, and milestones to ensure on-time delivery.
• Mentor and motivate team; conduct code reviews and delegate tasks.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues; identify risks and mitigation.
• Improve technical processes, tools, and procedures for efficiency.
• Liaise with stakeholders, write progress reports, present status to senior management.
• Stay current with technology trends and help team adopt new tools and practices.
