The ideal candidate should have a master's degree with extensive mechanical engineering experience. This role offers a remote work option and a competitive salary range of $146,000 to $175,000.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor's degree in engineering with relevant experience in an engineering environment.
• Experience with autonomous systems and project management.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages development of perception and planning systems for autonomous trucks.
• Participates in project planning, creates development contracts, and manages large capital projects.
• Researches and resolves design proposals and oversees engineering programs.

Skills

Knowledge of autonomous system technology principles including perception

Knowledge of real-time embedded systems

Knowledge of open-source development tools (e.g. ROS)

Knowledge of software programming tools (ex. Linux, CoDeSys, C++, etc.)

Knowledge of communication protocols (ex. RS232, CanOpen, J1939, etc.)

Knowledge of wireless telemetry in the mining environment

Ability to specify perception sensors

Ability to accurately scope technical projects

Education

Master Science Degree or Master of Engineering Degree (M.S./ M.E.) with 6 to 8 years of experience

Bachelor's degree (BSEE, BSCE, BSME, or BSMechatronic Engineering) with 8 to 10 years of experience
