Job summary

Skywalk Global seeks a Technical Lead (.Net/SQL) Contractor to drive SQL engineering efforts within a tolling modernization program. The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership across .NET and SQL, collaborating with PM/Scrum Master, SME, and cross-functional teams.

The position requires onsite presence with a hybrid schedule (local candidates only) and will run for 12 months, with potential for extension based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SQL engineering including schema modernization, stored procedures, views, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Experience leading engineering efforts within a modernization program.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on SQL engineering including schema modernization, stored procedures, views, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Guide senior engineering talent with strong, engaging technical leadership.
• Collaborate with PM/Scrum Master to support project execution and decision-making.
• Work closely with veteran SME for technical alignment and domain expertise.
• Ensure SQL modernization aligns with microservice boundaries and audit timelines.
• Participate in code reviews and documentation reviews.
• Collaborate with .NET, SQL, BA, QA, DevOps, Cloud, and CAB teams for cohesive delivery.
• Support compliance requirements including PCI, retention rules, and secure data handling.
• Operate effectively within delivery workflows and agile components as needed.
