Job summary

Morgan Stanley in Chicago is seeking a Lead Software Engineer at Director level to design, develop and mentor on Java-based applications. You will work with product owners, business analysts and delivery management to gather requirements, code, test and deploy complex software systems that improve efficiency and resiliency.

Ideal candidates bring strong Java and Spring Boot experience, prototyping, multi-threading and messaging middleware, with Agile/Scrum experience and comfort in Linux, Git,

Qualifications

Strong experience in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
Prototyping and third party service integration.
Leadership and mentorship in fast-paced teams.
Experience with low latency messaging and networking.

Responsibilities

Design and develop Java based applications.
Code, test, debugs, documents and implements complex software applications.
Interface with product team to gather requirements.
Escalate and communicate issues to stakeholders.
Mentor team members and review code for standards.
