Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Technical Lead for Application Development in the United States. The role focuses on leading the delivery of best-in-class systems built on AWS using a microservices architecture, integrating with on-prem AutoNation systems and databases.

You will collaborate with delivery leads, project managers, architecture, and QA to ensure high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of Java development experience, proven leadership of teams, strong architecture skills,

Qualifications

8+ years of Java software development with increasing responsibilities.
Experience leading a team of 3+ developers.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Strong ability to design, create and consume Web Services (REST, JSON, OAuth).
Solid SQL and data modeling skills.

Responsibilities

Lead delivery of best-in-class systems across AutoNation’s business lines.
Collaborate with IT leadership, architecture, and development staff to establish vision and roadmaps.
Partner with project managers, QA, and operations for hand-offs and support.
