Job summary

Apple is seeking an exceptional Machine Learning Technical Lead for the Human Sensing team in Seattle. You will anchor the technical direction for multimodal identity recognition and on-device perception across camera and Vision platforms.

You will translate product ambitions into crisp ML programs, define milestones, KPI targets, and data collection protocols, and drive rapid model iteration through robust evaluation and tooling. Strong leadership and hands-on coding are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of industry experience in CV and ML.
• Technical Lead or Staff-level experience driving scoping, KPIs, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong ability to define evaluation methodologies and perform deep failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Anchor technical direction by scoping projects, setting KPI standards, and defining data strategies.
• Lead the Evaluation Framework, ensure metric fidelity, and build diagnostic tooling for rapid iteration.
• Coordinate with Data, Evaluation, and Platform Integration teams and mentor engineers.
• Act as a hands-on anchor for on-device model optimization and codebase health.
