Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with frontend and backend development and shipping high-impact products.
• Experience leading or managing engineers, formal or informal.
• Strong React fundamentals and a background with Typescript/Node.
• Experience in a startup environment wearing multiple hats and moving fast.
• Exceptional communication skills influencing product direction and stakeholders.
• Bias toward action, code quality, and improving systems while helping the team.
• Ability to balance hands-on work with people management and create structure where needed.
• Comfort with ambiguity and transforming vision into concrete plans.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product requirements and produce production-ready code while delivering a best-in-class UI.
• Build and maintain features from database models to UI components.
• Own the technical architecture for major initiatives and guide complex decisions.
• Create services and APIs to enable features for web apps.
• Maintain system health, refactor, and keep codebase robust and scalable.
• Write clear specs to ensure quality for deployment.
• Drive large releases to production on a continuous deployment cadence.
• Set technical standards for code quality, testing, and engineering excellence.
• Directly manage 2–6 engineers with 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pairing sessions.
• Unblock the team and remove bottlenecks across processes.
• Participate in hiring to build a world-class engineering team.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate vision into executable plans.
