Job summary

Solace is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in the United States to join our platform engineering team. You will help build the infrastructure powering health-care innovation, enabling product and data engineers to ship daily, and design autonomous self-healing capabilities across complex systems.

You will own high-level architecture and low-level foundations, communicate with stakeholders, and mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• Experience in a startup environment.
• Experience building scalable infrastructure for hosting web apps or data workloads.
• Strong troubleshooting across architecture and runtime layers.
• Fluent on the command line and comfortable with Linux.
• Strong communication skills.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure (GCP preferred).
• Networking knowledge: VPCs, subnets, DNS, load balancers, TLS.
• Observability tools like Datadog/OpenTelemetry and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Build out cloud infrastructure and platform.
• Assess risk and impact of changes in live environment.
• Join on-call rotation.
• Troubleshoot complex system interactions across tech, governance, and people.
• Design self-healing processes and automate recovery.
• Provide tooling support to product/data engineers and grow into other areas.
• Communicate with stakeholders and platform customers.
