Elastic is seeking a Technical Lead to drive front- and back-end development and infrastructure for elastic.co. You will lead a distributed team of frontend and full-stack engineers, champion best practices, and deliver scalable web experiences.

The role emphasizes APIs, data integrations, CMS workflows, and performance and security across services, with a strong focus on accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in front and backend web development
• Deep expertise in NextJS, React, and TypeScript
• Experience with content management and headless CMS architectures (bonus)
• Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques and metrics

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with remote frontend and full-stack engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Drive the frontend architecture vision using NextJS and TypeScript
• Lead backend services, data integration pipelines, and CMSs
• Design and implement APIs powering dynamic web experiences
• Maintain quality standards, testing, and code review practices
• Improve backend performance, monitoring, and observability
• Ensure security, scalability, and reliability across backend services
• Lead frontend performance optimizations and accessibility across web experiences
• Collaborate with other teams to deliver cohesive user experiences
• Partner with SRE and infra teams for seamless system integration
