Job summary

Broadcom Inc. in San Jose, CA, is hiring a dual technical and leadership role to drive development of Antenna Tuner products for NR 5G, LTE-Advanced and Wi‑Fi, guiding hardware from concept to mass production for Tier-1 customers.

You will lead cross‑functional R&D teams, interface with Tier‑1 customers, manage schedules, assess risks, and provide technical guidance on impedance and aperture tuning, RF switches, and tunable capacitors. A strong track record in wireless RF leadership is required.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in the wireless RF industry with project management or technical leadership.
• Hands-on experience with antenna tuners and RF tuning components.
• Experience interfacing with Tier-1 mobile/smartphone customers is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D projects to design and optimize Antenna Tuner products for Tier-1 customers.
• Serve as primary technical liaison with customers to align specifications and schedules.
• Manage timelines, resources, risks, and on-time milestone delivery.
• Provide technical guidance on impedance and aperture tuning, RF switches, and tunable capacitors.

You will be an integral part of a winning team, leading hardware development from concept to mass production for Tier-1 mobile customers.ResponsibilitiesLead R&D Projects: Direct cross-functional engineering teams in the design, development, and optimization of Antenna Tuner products for Tier-1 mobile customers.Customer Interfacing: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for key customers, ensuring design specifications align with stringent Tier-1 requirements and delivery schedules.Project Management: Manage project timelines, coordinate internal resources, conduct risk assessments, and ensure on-time milestone delivery.Technical Guidance: Lead module debugging, impedance/aperture tuning, and optimization efforts while guiding the team through complex RF challenges.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).12+ years of work experience in the wireless RF industry, with a proven track record in project management or technical leadership.Deep domain expertise in Antenna Tuners, including hands-on experience with aperture tuning, impedance tuning, RF switches, and tunable capacitors.Experience interfacing directly with Tier-1 mobile/smartphone customers desiredDemonstrated ability to lead independently, meet tight deadlines, and drive success in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment with excellent communication and documentation skills.Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is USD 143,800.00 To USD 230,000.00As a valued member of our team, you'll be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and the opportunity to receive not only a competitive new hire equity grant, but also annual equity awards, connecting your success directly to the company's growth.
