Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Senior Software Engineer - Device Driver Technical Lead to guide embedded Linux drivers, kernel modules, and hardware/software integration for VPX/SOSA compute platforms.

You will provide hands-on technical leadership across low-level components, align with hardware, FPGA, and Systems teams, and ensure high-performance, secure driver functionality in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in C/C++/Rust and Linux environments.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Linux kernel module and device driver development for embedded compute platforms.
• Define interfaces and ensure integration across hardware and software teams.
• Guide platform boot/config artifacts (DeviceTree, GRUB, U-Boot) and real-time kernel setups.
• Lead debugging and performance optimization for low-latency driver workloads.
• Drive CI/CD and security practices within an Agile environment.
