Job Responsibilities
Integration Architecture & Delivery
- Lead design and delivery of integrations between D365 CE/Dataverse, benefits administration platforms, HRIS, payroll, carriers, broker/benefit partner systems, finance platforms, and other internal or third-party applications as applicable.
- Assess existing Salesforce integrations, interfaces, scheduled jobs, middleware, API contracts, and dependencies; define target-state integration patterns for D365 CE.
- Implement and govern APIs and integration services using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, API Management, and related Azure services where appropriate.
- Define synchronous and asynchronous patterns, event-driven processing, message contracts, idempotency, retries, dead-letter handling, reconciliation, and replay/recovery procedures.
- Establish secure authentication, authorization, secrets management, encryption, monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks.
- Coordinate interface testing and changes with vendors, partner teams, business owners, and D365 developers; manage versioning and backward compatibility.
Salesforce-to-D365 CE Data Migration
- Own migration strategy, source profiling, extraction, mapping, cleansing, transformation, deduplication, loading, validation, and reconciliation from Salesforce to D365 CE/Dataverse.
- Define source-to-target mappings for accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, cases, activities, notes, attachments/files, relationships, ownership, status values, and other in-scope objects.
- Plan migration waves, mock loads, incremental/delta migration, freeze windows, cutover, rollback, and post-migration stabilization.
- Use appropriate tooling such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS/KingswaySoft, Dataverse APIs, bulk operations, and custom migration utilities.
- Manage data quality rules, duplicate resolution, reference/master data, transformed values, historical data strategy, record ownership, and relationship integrity.
- Implement control totals, record counts, field-level validation, exception reports, business reconciliation, and formal migration sign-off.
- Manage performance and reliability risks including API throttling, large data volumes, dependencies, failed records, reruns, and source-system constraints
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Assess Salesforce reports, dashboards, extracts, and KPIs; define target reporting requirements and migration/rebuild priorities for D365 CE and Power BI.
- Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models, DAX measures, dashboards, and reports for operational, management, and executive audiences.
- Work with Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, data warehouses/lakehouses, and curated datasets where applicable.
- Partner with business teams to define KPI ownership, calculation logic, refresh frequency, data access, and report acceptance criteria.
- Implement data quality monitoring, metadata and data dictionary documentation, lineage practices, and appropriate governance.
- Validate report parity and business outcomes before and after cutover; explain differences caused by source-to-target process or data model changes.
Leadership & Operational Readiness
- Lead workstream planning, estimates, design/code reviews, testing coordination, and mentoring for integration, migration, and analytics contributors.
- Maintain interface catalogues, sequence/data-flow diagrams, mapping specifications, runbooks, migration plans, reconciliation reports, and support documentation.
- Coordinate system integration testing, end-to-end testing, performance testing where needed, cutover rehearsals, and hypercare. Report risks, dependencies, data quality status, integration reliability, and readiness to the Enterprise Solutions Architect and program leadership.
