intive seeks a senior Data Architect to lead our Data Governance program and data platform modernization. You will guide metadata, data catalog, data lineage, and RBAC strategies while ensuring data quality, security, and policy compliance across enterprise data assets.

You will drive architecture decisions for modern Lakehouse environments, coordinate PoCs, and establish AI governance frameworks, with a focus on scalable, secure data platforms in a remote US context.

Formación

• 3+ years as a Data Architect leading data platform implementations or enterprise data warehouse modernization initiatives.
• 10+ years of experience in technology, data, analytics, or enterprise architecture environments.
• Strong knowledge of data governance standards and frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, TM Forum).
• Experience with data security frameworks including RBAC, IAM, auditing, and data masking.
• Native Spanish speaker with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and implementation of the organization’s Data Governance framework.
• Define and oversee metadata management, data catalog, business glossary, data lineage, and RBAC strategies.
• Establish data quality and data security methodologies, including automated quality controls and PII protection.
• Lead infrastructure assessments and fit-gap analyses to support platform sizing and architecture decisions.
• Define and execute data warehouse modernization and migration strategies, including CDC and decommissioning of legacy platforms.
• Lead PoCs, define acceptance criteria, and present recommendations for architectural decisions.
• Define engineering standards for Data Engineering, DataOps, CI/CD, MLOps, and AI-powered development practices.
• Establish AI governance and AI engineering frameworks, including model lifecycle management and responsible AI.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead the design and implementation of the organization’s Data Governance framework.
• Define and oversee metadata management, data catalog, business glossary, data lineage, and role-based access control (RBAC) strategies.
• Establish data quality and data security methodologies, including automated quality controls, data classification, access governance, auditing, and PII protection.
• Lead infrastructure assessments and fit-gap analyses to support platform sizing and architecture decisions.
• Define and execute data warehouse modernization and migration strategies, including coexistence approaches, CDC, reconciliation, and controlled decommissioning of legacy platforms.
• Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs), define acceptance criteria, and present recommendations that support architectural decisions.
• Define engineering standards for Data Engineering, DataOps, CI/CD, MLOps, and AI-powered development practices.
• Establish AI governance and AI engineering frameworks, including model lifecycle management, responsible AI practices, and agentic AI integrations.

You Are a Good Match If You Have

• Strong knowledge of data governance standards and frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK and maturity assessment models such as TM Forum.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Architect leading data platform implementations or enterprise data warehouse modernization initiatives.
• 10+ years of overall experience in technology, data, analytics, or enterprise architecture environments.
• Experience with data security frameworks, including RBAC, IAM, dynamic data masking, auditing, and enterprise identity management solutions.
• Native Spanish speaker with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with modern Lakehouse architectures using Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, Trino, dbt, Airflow, Kafka, and Debezium.
• Experience working with object storage platforms such as MinIO, Amazon S3, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience operating Kubernetes-based environments, including OpenShift, Rancher, or managed cloud platforms.
• Experience migrating from Oracle Data Warehouse or other legacy enterprise data platforms.
• Knowledge of TM Forum frameworks, including SID, eTOM, and Data Maturity Models.
• Experience with MLOps platforms such as MLflow, KServe, and Evidently.
• Experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG architectures, MCP (Model Context Protocol), or AI-enabled data platforms.
• Cloud certifications related to AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes (CKA), or OpenShift.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude Code or similar platforms, including governance, quality gates, and automated migration of legacy data pipelines.
