Job description

Technical Lead/Architect - Trilio Data, Inc., Framingham, MA (Fully Remote)

Working in an Agile/Scrum environment and abiding by coding standards and guidelines, the Technical Lead will be responsible for developing scalable, lasting technology solutions that are built for security and performance for Trilio for OpenStack, a disaster recovery software platform. Duties and responsibilities shall include the following:

•Designing and developing Full Stack web software through feature design, programming, coding and debugging
•Applying industry best practices to build well organized, modular, optimized and documented code using SOLID principles and Full Stack technologies.
•Translating business requirements into designs that can be implemented by the technical lead or other software engineers with technical supervision from the lead.
•Building CI / CD and frameworks of infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management as well as monitoring.
•Working with architecture and design patterns on software products and improving software architecture on desktop and web applications.
•Ensuring excellent code coverage through automated unit, API, UI test cases.
•Performing code reviews of team members.
•Supporting existing customers when customer support escalates to engineering and ensuring the solution provides benefits for the customer.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 6 years of experience as a software developer/engineer.
Qualifying experience must be progressively responsible industry experience as a software developer/engineer.
Experience, which may have been gained concurrently, must include:
•5 years of industry experience in backend and infrastructure design and development within the OpenStack cloud domain; and
•4 years of industry experience coding in Python, C/C++, MySQL and REST.

Candidates for consideration will be expected to demonstrate in-depth working knowledge and understanding across the following areas:
- Command and control facilities
- Secure communication
- API endpoint configuration
- Block storage, image storage, object storage.
- Shared File Systems
- Networking Architecture, Services and Security
- Full lifecycle development process

This is a full-time, fully remote position, working from a home office based in the United States within the Eastern Time zone and reporting to Trilio Data HQ in Framingham, MA. Due to the need for overlap with Trilio Data's development and support team in India, working hours are Monday-Friday 6am-3pm.
