Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for Regulatory Lifecycle to lead architecture and AI-first solutions within a unified compliance platform. You will mentor engineers, merge legacy systems, and drive workflows for legal text analysis in a global regulatory landscape.

You will collaborate with legal, compliance, engineering, and product teams to translate complex requirements into robust technical roadmaps, ensuring enterprise-grade standards and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of software development experience.
5 years of design/architecture and launching software products.
Experience with system architecture, data modeling, distributed systems, and leading large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

Lead architectural consolidation of existing compliance systems with high availability and data integrity.
Develop new AI capabilities including automated requirement mapping and legal assessment drafting while managing AI risk.
Design and orchestrate multi-agent systems for complex tasks like document decomposition and metadata extraction, ensuring AI component reuse.
Establish evaluation frameworks and SLAs for AI models and workflows to capture expert feedback.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate ambiguous business requirements into concrete technical roadmaps.
