SEI Investments Company seeks a Technical Lead – Microservices to design and deliver cloud-based microservices solutions. You will lead multi-tier app development from inception to implementation, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to schedules.

The role requires experience with REST/JSON, Spring Boot, Java, and DevOps tools (Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins). On-site work at Oaks, PA is expected with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of post-baccalaureate experience delivering systems from inception through implementation.
• 5 years with DevOps toolsets and containers (Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
• 2 years working on cloud-based, multi-tier applications and microservices (REST, JSON, Spring Boot, Java).

Job Duties

The Technical Lead – Microservices works with an application development organization delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation utilizing experience working on multi-tiered applications that are designed, developed, and delivered as cloud-based solutions, including designing, developing, configuring, and deploying Cloud Native applications; creating microservices application using technologies such as, but not limited to, REST, JSON, Spring Boot, and JAVA; and utilizing Relational databases, such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server and DevOps toolsets for versioning, containers, such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins. The Technical Lead – Microservices is responsible for the following: develop and design technical solutions based on reading and understanding business and functional requirements following the Agile process; produce high-quality code to meet all project deadlines and ensuring the functionality matches the requirements; analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle; coordinating changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members; provide technical leadership to project team members and responding to inquiries regarding errors or questions about programs; interact with data architects, other tech leads, team members, and project manager, as required, addressing technical and scheduling issues; suggest and implement process improvements for estimating, development, and testing processes; insure team designs and delivers code in alignment with published SEI & industry standards; and provide technical problems resolution and application support, as required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Applied Computer Science, or another related field. Seven (7) years of post-baccalaureate experience with application development organization. Seven (7) years of experience with each of the following: delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation; and relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server. Five (5) years of experience with DevOps toolsets for versioning, containers, such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins. Two (2) years of experience with each of the following: working on multi-tiered applications that are designed, developed, and delivered as cloud-based solutions, including: designing, developing, configuring, and deploying Cloud Native applications; and creating microservices application using technologies such as, but not limited to, REST, JSON, Spring Boot, and Java.
