Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking an IT Technical Lead for the Real Estate Capital Originations tech team. You will own architecture and delivery across REC lending platforms, mentor engineers, and drive modernization initiatives with SaaS/cloud deployments.

You will partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure solutions while ensuring reliability, security, and performance across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of application development, systems integration, or software engineering experience.

Hybrid (3 days onsite & 2 days remote)About the Team The Real Estate Capital (REC) Originations Technology team delivers and supports the technology platforms that enable Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lending business. The team partners closely with Originations, Underwriting, Portfolio Management, Credit Administration, Product Management, and Enterprise Technology organizations to deliver strategic solutions across the full commercial real estate lending lifecycle. Key platforms include Moody's CreditLens and the broader REC application suite that support deal origination, credit analysis, underwriting, approval workflows, regulatory compliance, data integration, and operational reporting.

Job Summary

The IT Technical Lead serves as the individual responsible for the architecture, development, integration, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of solutions supporting Commercial Real Estate lending operations. The Technical Lead partners with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, engineers, and vendors to design scalable technology solutions that align with business strategy and enterprise architecture standards. This role provides technical leadership across the software development lifecycle, mentors engineering teams, drives engineering excellence, and ensures system reliability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Solution Architecture

• Lead the technical strategy and architecture for REC Originations applications and integrations.
• Design scalable, secure, maintainable solutions supporting commercial real estate lending processes.
• Define application architecture standards, integration patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce technical debt.
• Provide technical leadership for modernization and transformation initiatives involving SaaS and cloud-based platforms.

Application Development & Delivery

• Lead development, enhancement, implementation, and support activities across the REC technology ecosystem.
• Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Review and approve technical designs, code, deployment plans, and implementation strategies.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, testing strategies, CI/CD practices, and security requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support activities.

CreditLens & REC Platform Expertise

• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for Moody's CreditLens and supporting REC applications.
• Support integrations between CreditLens and internal lending, workflow, document, and data platforms.
• Drive technical solutions supporting deal intake, underwriting, financial spreading, credit approvals, covenant tracking, and portfolio management processes.
• Partner with business and vendor teams to evaluate platform capabilities and roadmap opportunities.

Engineering Excellence & Team Leadership

• Mentor developers and engineers while fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of complex technical issues.
• Establish performance, availability, resiliency, and monitoring standards for supported applications.
• Promote Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of application development, systems integration, or software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience leading development teams or large-scale technology initiatives.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise applications in complex environments.
• Strong experience with:

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial lending or Commercial Real Estate lending technology experience.
• Experience with Moody's CreditLens or other commercial credit underwriting platforms.
• Knowledge of CRE origination, underwriting, credit approval, and portfolio management processes.
• Experience integrating third-party SaaS platforms with enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with enterprise data integration, cloud platforms, and modern API architectures.
• Experience supporting regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements within financial services.
• Architecture certification or advanced technical certifications preferred.
