Job Summary: The TLA performs phlebotomy and various technical and clerical functions in the laboratory, handling blood, tissue, and other body fluids. The role requires adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance, with responsibilities including specimen collection, processing, data entry, and assisting in training new staff.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing according to lab guidelines.
2. Maintain safety and infection control standards.
3. Provide customer service to clinicians, patients, and their families.
4. Handle computer tasks related to LIS and other systems.
5. Train new employees and students.
6. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year experience in phlebotomy or specimen processing.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance if working in a skilled nursing setting.
