Job summary

Aleksandra Nova Design is seeking a seasoned Technical Interior Designer to join as a long-term studio extension. This role focuses on translating design concepts into construction-ready documentation for luxury interiors across residential, hospitality, and corporate sectors in the United States.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of technical interior design experience, excels at millwork detailing, and can collaborate across architects, MEP, and contractors to deliver precise,

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical interior design experience.
  • High-end residential experience required.
  • Commercial and hospitality experience preferred.
  • Experience producing permit and construction drawing sets.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. construction standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive construction documentation, including demolition, floor, furniture, and finish plans.
  • Create detailed millwork and custom design documentation for kitchens, bathrooms, closets, and built-in furniture.
  • Coordinate drawings with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure constructability.
  • Provide construction support by reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and resolving field conflicts.
  • Maintain drawing accuracy throughout the construction process.

About the Role

Aleksandra Nova Design is seeking an experienced Technical Interior Designer to become a long-term extension of our studio.

This is not a production drafting role.

We are looking for someone who understands how luxury interiors are built and can translate approved design concepts into coordinated, construction-ready documentation.

Our projects include high-end residential, boutique hospitality, executive offices, and luxury commercial interiors throughout the United States.

Workload will vary throughout the year, making this an ideal opportunity for an experienced professional seeking an ongoing relationship with a boutique luxury design firm.

Primary Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive construction documentation including:

Interior Construction Documentation

  • Electrical Plans

  • Construction Details
Millwork & Custom Design

Develop technical documentation for:

  • Kitchens
  • Bathrooms
  • Closets
  • Custom cabinetry
  • Feature walls
  • Fireplaces
  • Reception desks
  • Built-in furniture
  • Custom furniture
  • Decorative ceiling details
  • Lighting integrations
  • Stone fabrication
  • Metal fabrication

Technical Coordination of drawings with:
