Job summary

Chattahoochee Technical College is seeking an Instructor for Legal Studies to teach all LGST courses at the Marietta home campus. The role includes advising students and collaborating with internal and external partners to support enrollment and retention.

Job Description: POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT POSITION: Instructor, Legal Studies (Home campus: Marietta)

This instructor will report to the Associate Dean of Business. This instructor will teach all Legal Studies (LGST) courses in the Associate Degree and Diploma. The LGST faculty work together to meet department, division, and college goals. In addition to teaching, faculty advise students to meet department, division and college goals. In addition to teaching, LGST faculty collaborate with internal and external partners to promote enrollment and retention. Prior teaching experience is a plus, but is not required. Some telework is available. Hybrid and online instruction. Online instruction is asynchronous and synchronous.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Juris Doctorate OR Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies/Legal Studies AND work experience as a paralegal
  • Master’s Degree in Law or Legal Studies AND work experience as a paralegal
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postsecondary teaching experience with computer-assisted instruction
  • Experience with instruction in a postsecondary setting with Blackboard or other online learning management systems
  • Experience supervising the work of paralegals/legal assistants

Salary & Benefits: $70,928 annually. Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program. Please be aware that Chattahoochee Tech employees will be paid by direct deposit, unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.

Anticipated Employment Date: October 2026.
