Chattahoochee Technical College in Marietta invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Technical Instructor, Legal Studies. You will teach LGST courses in the associate degree and diploma programs and advise students to help meet department and college goals.

The position supports hybrid and online instruction, with some telework. A JD or appropriate paralegal credentials plus relevant experience are required or preferred, and employment begins October 2026.

Qualifications

• Credentialed in accordance with licensure/accrediting bodies.

Position Announcement

Position:

Instructor, Legal Studies (Home campus: Marietta)

Quick Look:

• This position is a Full-time, 12-month faculty position.
• This instructor will report to the Associate Dean of Business.
• This instructor will teach all Legal Studies (LGST) courses in the Associate Degree and Diploma.
• The LGST faculty work together to meet department, division, and college goals.
• In addition to teaching, faculty advise students to meet department, division and college goals.
• In addition to teaching, LGST faculty collaborate with internal and external partners to promote enrollment and retention.
• Prior teaching experience is a plus, but is not required.
• Some telework is available. Hybrid and online instruction. Online instruction is asynchronous and synchronous.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate
• OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies/Legal Studies AND work experience as a paralegal
• OR
• Master’s Degree in Law or Legal Studies AND work experience as a paralegal

Preferred Qualifications (In addition to the minimum qualifications)

• Postsecondary teaching experience with computer-assisted instruction
• Experience with instruction in a postsecondary setting with Blackboard or other online learning management systems
• Experience supervising the work of paralegals/legal assistants

Salary/Benefits:

$70,928 annually. Benefits include paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program. Please be aware that Chattahoochee Tech employees will be paid by direct deposit, unless exempted by the State Accounting Office based on “hardship” evidence provided by the employee.
