Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a Technical Instructor/Facilitator for Fixed Plant Maintenance to develop learners' safety, compliance, and operations skills. Training is hands-on and classroom-based, using pre-developed materials and expert knowledge to evaluate progress.

The role focuses on assessing on-the-job skills, coordinating with operations and maintenance, and maintaining accurate training records in the LMS. Strong communication and a passion for developing others are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 7 years of training or leading teams in a relevant field.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of directly related work experience.
• Proven computer literacy, including MS Office and Windows.
• Strong analytical thinking and effective communication skills.
• Experience in adult education or corporate training preferred.
• Familiarity with MSHA/OSHA standards preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
• Experience mentoring/coaching in field environments preferred.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.

What You Will Do

What You Bring To Freeport

• High School Diploma or GED with 7 years of experience in training or leading teams in a relevant field;

OR

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of directly related work experience
• Technical competence equivalent to an experienced operator or mechanical tradesperson/journeyman
• Proven computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office and Windows
• Strong analytical thinking and effective communication skills
• Demonstrated passion for developing others and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow and apply company policies and procedures
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions in English
• Ability to communicate in English regarding job assignments, procedures, and safety standards
• Experience in adult education or corporate training preferred
• Experience in mining or industrial environments preferred
• Familiarity with MSHA/OSHA standards preferred
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently$36.50 - 50.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
