Job summary

Vistex is seeking a Technical Instructional Designer to create engaging training for the Vistex suite. Collaborate with product specialists and the Training team to develop strategic learning plans for standard and custom courses, applying instructional design methodologies.

Responsibilities include developing training materials for instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced formats, analyzing end-user needs, updating content with new releases, and delivering pilot trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in instructional design related field.
• 4 years of software material development, facilitation, and project experience.
• Experience with eLearning tools (SAP Enable Now or WalkMe preferred).
• Knowledge of SAP or ERP software products; Sales and Distribution (SD) SAP module experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product specialists, customers, and trainers to develop accurate, effective curriculums for internal and external needs.
• Develop training materials (presenter decks, instructor guides, exercises, job aids, videos, eLearning simulations) for ILT, virtual, and self-paced courses.
• Create materials detailing business and end-user processes for Vistex software and implementation steps.
• Produce design plans for different audiences and integrate media and adult learning techniques.
• Create delta classes and update training materials with new software releases.

Vistex Technical Instructional Designer is responsible for creating engaging and effective training courses for the Vistex suite of products. This team member will work collaboratively with key stakeholders and Training team to develop strategic learning plans for standard and custom training courses by leveraging instructional design methodology. The ideal candidate is someone who believes training should motivate and support participants in their job responsibilities. As part of our rapidly growing team, the Instructional Designer is expected to be self-motivated and rapidly adapts to new platforms to become productive contributor.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with product specialists, customers, and trainers to develop accurate, effective, and timely curriculums that meet internal and external needs.
• Develop training materials (presenter decks, instructor guides, exercises, job aids, videos, eLearning simulations with voice scripts, and other supporting materials) for instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced courses utilizing department templates and guidelines.
• Creates materials that include the business and end user processes for Vistex software as well as the technical steps to implement and utilize the software at the customer’s site.
• Produce design plans targeted to different audiences based on performance needs which integrate appropriate media and variety of adult learning techniques.
• Create delta classes and update training material as new releases of software are rolled out using rapid development strategies.
• Apply sound project management and instructional design principles that motivate participants and leads project to conclusion.
• Analyze existing training to identify end user needs and develop strategies to improve courses and documentation.
• Rapidly adapts to new platforms and independently learns to master software in Vistex or Customer systems.
• Facilitate course pilot and train-the-trainer sessions for new and updated courses.
• Develop course materials and conduct training for customer custom projects.
• Complete related duties as assigned by Training Manager.

The compensation for this position is $70k to $80k annually. Base pay will vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s location, job-related knowledge, skills and work experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus. Education

Bachelors or better in Instructional Design and Technology or related field.

Experience

Required

4 years:

Software material development, facilitation, and project experience.

Experience with eLearning tools and documentation software to develop and enhance training courses (SAP® Enable Now or WalkMe™ preferred).

Knowledge of SAP or ERP software products; Sales and Distribution (SD) SAP module experience preferred.

Must be highly proficient in various Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint and Word.

Capable of analyzing and logically organize complex technical information and transform complex bodies of information into professionally designed, engaging and effective training.

Proactive utilizes resources to learn complex software including business case scenarios.

Strong attention to detail and solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effectively lead projects including communicating with technical and non-technical team members who may be remote.

Ability to design or create dynamic and engaging content that incorporates both design elements and effective learning principles for an optimum learning experience.

Strong project management skills and able to successfully multi-task, set priorities, and meet timelines.

Travel required to customer facility depending on training requirements (10-20%).
