Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Arlington, VA is seeking a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to lead end-to-end supply chain enablement and hardware fulfillment for launching new availability and local zone sites worldwide.

AIS Supply Chain’s Manufacturing, Transportation, and Reverse Operations team is seeking a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to help enable AWS’ new availability and local zones. This role offers opportunity to work on impactful new site launches and opportunity to solve/manage complex challenges tied to Global Cloud Computing.

As a TIPM, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects with the opportunity to shape, define & deliver successful site launches from a supply chain perspective. You will be responsible for the end to end supply chain enablement and hardware fulfillment for launching new availability and local zone sites. These sites will be of various build types and will be launching around the world. You will work cross-functionally with various organizational levels and groups to enable these new sites. Some of your key stakeholders will be manufacturing, logistics, trade and compliance, procurement, region services, and engineering teams.

You must have excellent program management and critical thinking skills that enable you to “look around corners” and mitigate potential risk. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential as you will be responsible for communicating with and to a broad group of stakeholders the supply chain launch status of an site. You must have a proven track record of successful project management & show the ability to deliver effectively in ambiguous situations with compressed timelines. You also must possess a working knowledge of data center technologies and supply chain management practices/processes.

  • Manage launch of multiple availability and local zones simultaneously by executing needed actions with cross functional stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status updates to various project stakeholders, including team members and leadership which will include synthesizing a multitude of issues and actions into a clear, concise and focused message.
  • Collaborate and engage team members from across all functions to enable new sites. Typical functions include Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Regional DC Teams, Networking, Services, Trade, etc.
  • Understand and proactively flag risk for upcoming new availability and local zone launches to various internal stakeholders and leadership (ex. supply issues, tight manufacturing capacity, etc.)
  • Manage system and supply chain dependencies between launches and negotiate the trade-offs as needed with business stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
