Job summary

GM Defense in Missouri seeks a skilled Technical Illustrator to develop accurate, compliant graphics for military and commercial publications. You will convert CAD data and engineering models into 2D vector illustrations and produce drawings, schematics, and training content.

You will work under general supervision, interpret complex engineering data, and collaborate with writers, engineers, and program teams while ensuring safety and high‑voltage standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain accurate, compliant graphics for military and commercial publications.
• Plan and execute graphics work packages under general supervision.
• Interpret contract requirements and customer expectations.
• Produce exploded-view illustrations, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operator instructions.
• Convert 3D CAD, engineering data, and photographs into 2D vector illustrations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and change orders.
• Collaborate with technical writers, engineers, and program teams.
• Maintain asset configuration control and archival of graphical assets.
