Job summary

Contract Professionals, Inc. is seeking a Graphic Artist to create and maintain accurate, compliant graphics for military and commercial technical publications. You will transform engineering data into technical illustrations supporting safe equipment operation, maintenance, and training.

Hybrid role in Warren/Milford, Michigan, requiring U.S. citizenship and CAC/clearance as needed; collaborate with engineers, writers, and program teams across multiple programs.

Qualifications

• Experience creating technical illustrations for defense, aerospace, or safety-critical publications.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and parts data.
• Experience in a graphics/structured publication production environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and complete assigned graphics work packages balancing accuracy, quality, compliance, schedule.
• Create technical illustrations including exploded views, line art, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Convert 3D CAD/models and photos into clear 2D vector illustrations.
• Interpret engineering drawings, parts data, and electrical schematics.
• Collaborate with writers and experts to develop figure requirements and ensure technical accuracy.
• Develop graphics for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and vehicle systems.
