Job summary

Crescendo Solutions LLC in the United States seeks a Senior Technical Illustrator to lead illustration production on U.S. DoD documentation programs. This hands-on role sets style guides, reviews junior illustrators, and delivers the most complex CGM artwork directly.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or portfolio, 6+ years of DoD/aerospace illustration experience, and proficiency with Illustrator, IsoDraw, and Creo Illustrate, with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent portfolio in graphics-related field.
• 6+ years producing technical illustrations for DoD/aerospace programs.
• Experience with S1000D Issue 4.0 or later and CGM authoring.
• Proficiency with Illustrator, IsoDraw, and Creo Illustrate.
• Ability to lead or review other illustrators; DoD clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain illustration style guides and CGM standards.
• Produce complex illustrations, exploded views, schematics, and isometric assemblies.
• Review junior staff work against S1000D/ BREX; provide feedback.
• Lead legacy artwork conversion to S1000D; ensure interactivity data.
• Collaborate with engineering and program teams to resolve questions.
• Mentor junior illustrators and participate in onboarding.
